The Vision that is the Anna Maria Historic Green Village

Architect Gene Aubry has created these drawings capturing our vision for the Anna Maria Historic Green Village.

A retail project incorporating 8000 square foot of buildings across four lots, the project will also home and recycle some of Anna Maria's beautiful old buildings, including a 1935 Sears Catalog Cottage, and 2 other homes built in 1911 and 1935. The design and style of the Green Village will mirror these historic buildings in both scale and style, but will all be subject to some modern improvements and most notably, that the complete development will be powered by green energy sources.

Through our Pineapplefish villas and other Anna Maria programmes, such as The Pine Avenue Restoration Project, we intend to bring environmentally friendly initiatives to the island, such as solar heating for our swimming pools, to energy efficient building materials in the commercial buildings we are developing on Pine Avenue. Pine Avenue Restoration is an idea born out of a desire to preserve the original vision for a Pine Avenue promenade and to protect the critical and extremely limited ‘historic boutique business district’ of Anna Maria. Mike and I and 2 other investors Mike Coleman and Ed Chiles are developing the Pine Avenue properties with historically compatible structures housing first floor boutique retail shops and one residential floor on top. The look will take inspiration from the historic cottages that are currently interspersed on the street and existing historic buildings will be renovated where possible.
